2 Dead After Three-Storey Building Collapses in Gurugram’s Udyog Vihar; Rescue Ops Underway

Gurugram: One laborer died, while two others were rescued from under the rubble after an old building collapsed in Gurugram’s Udyog Vihar area while it was being demolished. However, another labourer is still believed to be trapped under debris. Speaking to the media, DC Nishant Yadav said, “A total of 4 were trapped in the debris. While 2 have been rescued safely, one body too has been retrieved. After preliminary information, DCP West Deepak Saharan said, “It was an old building that was being demolished since Sept 26. It was a 3-floor high building of which 2 floors had been demolished. Rescue teams and other officials have rushed to the site and efforts are on to rescue the trapped workers.State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams also reached the spot to assist and help the rescue work as two more labourers are still feared trapped in the debris.
